Meet Ronni
Mother ~ Artist ~ Teacher
I believe, meaningful growth begins with feeling seen, supported, and at ease. My work is rooted in creating spaces where that kind of presence can unfold.
My children are my greatest teachers. They invite me into a deeper understanding of what it means to be human: to hold both strength and vulnerability, to make mistakes, to repair, and to grow. In caring for them, I am learning to mother myself, modeling a way of living that honors imperfection, resilience, and the ongoing practice of becoming.
From a young age, I gravitated toward art—especially clay—which has remained a continuous thread throughout my life. Creating has always met a deeply personal need: a way to self-express, to process, and to connect.
Over time, my sculptures became offerings—first for myself, then as gifts for family and friends. Today, this creative practice continues to evolve as a way of fostering connection to self and others through form, touch, and presence.
Before my work in yoga and somatic practice, my professional path was rooted in communication, access, and education. I worked as an ASL–English interpreter and later taught Art and American Sign Language at both the middle school and high school levels. These years deeply shaped how I listen, how I teach, and how I attune to nonverbal language, nuance, and presence.
In 2013, I began a deeper inward journey to heal from chronic pain and emotional trauma.
This path led me to meditation and yoga, and eventually to my first yoga teacher training in 2017—not as an endpoint, but as a way to deepen my own practice and continue my inner work. Yoga became another language for listening, repairing, and inhabiting the body with care.
Following my training, I volunteered teaching yoga to Deaf and Deaf/Blind seniors—an experience that profoundly shaped my understanding of accessibility, touch, pacing, consent, and trust. This work reinforced my belief that presence and embodied awareness are powerful forms of communication and care.
Art, movement, and motherhood now inform one another—each shaping how I live, create, and guide. Together, they form the foundation of my work: an invitation to slow down, listen inward, and reconnect with the wisdom already present within.
